Job summary

Zany Zeus in Wellington is seeking a motivated process assistant to join our production team at the Seaview factory. You will help with cheese and yoghurt making, hygiene compliance and equipment cleaning, with plenty of hands-on training and a supportive team environment.

This full-time role offers consistent hours, opportunities to learn dairy manufacturing processes, and a collaborative workplace.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic required.
• Flexible and willing to work across different areas of the plant.
• Must currently have New Zealand work visa (partner or post-study) or a New Zealand citizen.

Responsibilities

• Assist cheesemaking team to produce soft cheeses and cultured products.
• Pre-cleaning and post-cleaning of equipment.
• Ensure tasks are completed to a high standard with a focus on quality and hygiene.
• Follow health and safety, food safety, hygiene and quality procedures at all times.
• Assist the team with packing or bottling milk as required.

Zany Zeus produces a variety of dairy products including soft cheeses, cultured products and pasteurised milk at our factory located in Seaview, Wellington.

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated process assistant to join our production team in the factory.

About the Role

You will be mainly involved in the cheese and yoghurt making processes. Ensuring these products are produced to specification with all hygiene conditions met.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the cheesemaking team to produce soft cheeses such as halloumi and feta, and cultured products such as yoghurt, cream cheese, and sour cream.
• Pre-cleaning and post-cleaning of equipment
• Ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard with a strong focus on product quality and hygiene
• Following health and safety, food safety, hygiene, and quality procedures at all times
• Assisting the team elsewhere in the factory as required for processes such as packing or bottling milk

About You

• A strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Flexible and willing to work across different areas of the plant
• Must currently have New Zealand work visa (partner or post-study) or a New Zealand citizen
• Flexibility to work varying hours as required including weekends
