The Role:
The Natural Pet Treat Company Limited is seeking a quality assistant in a newly created role to act as an essential link between production workers and managers, ensuring the smooth running of production and quality outcomes.You will be working closely with our management team who will provide ongoing training and support for this hands-on role.
This role would be suited to someone who has experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment, a new graduate looking to gain some hands on experience, or a team leader looking to step into a more focused role. Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary link between production workers and managers to ensure quality goals are understood and met.
Train production workers on all relevant internal and external standard, procedures, and policies.
Ensure production procedures and quality standards for all shifts is understood and met on a daily basis, providing targeted support where necessary.
Conduct physical inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
Identify defects or deviations and work with production teams and managers to resolve issues.
Identify issues on the production floor and collaborate with management on corrective actions.
Assist with NCR and CAPA procedures.
Oversee daily quality control documentation meet compliance standards.
Key Requirements:
A relevant qualification or hands on experience in food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
A strong theoretical and/or applied knowledge of food safety compliance.
Proven leadership experience.
Existing entitlement to work in New Zealand.
Other Details:
Work hours are 40 hours per week Monday-Friday.
