Hamilton City Council's Digital Services division seeks an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join the agile team. You will work on security by design, supporting the cyber roadmap, handling incidents, risk management, and implementing security standards.
You will influence cyber strategy, manage systems administration, and collaborate across Cloud, Network, Application Platform, Service Desk, and other teams to lift the organisation's cybersecurity posture.
This position sits within the Digital Services division of the People, Performance and Culture group. The purpose of this group is to enable Hamilton City Council to become a leading, community-focused council by helping teams prioritise important work, ensuring they have the right systems, processes, and tools, and improving the way they work.
We’re looking for an experienced, collaborative, hands on security by design minded Cybersecurity Engineer to join our agile Digital Services Team.
Your day will be a mix of operational, tactical and strategic activities, supporting our cyber roadmap. From helping to deliver initiatives, to handling cybersecurity incidents and risk management. You will be able to influence the cyber strategy, be responsible for systems administration, and help to implement cyber security standards.
You will be an integral part of the Cyber team and work cross functionally with the wider Digital Services team including Cloud and Network, Application Platform teams, Service Desk and the wider organisation.
You will become part of an establishedagile team that is focused on a mixture of tactical and strategic activities to lift the cybersecurity posture across a wide range of business units and underpinning infrastructure.
