Job summary

Fletcher Building – Wellington, North Island is seeking a friendly showroom assistant to support product sales and design solutions for front‑of‑wall bathroom products, and to assist trade customers at the counter.

You’ll work 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday with rostered Saturdays, at our Lower Hutt Branch, bringing organisation, customer focus and teamwork to a close‑knit team.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a customer service and/or retail sales environment.
  • Proven experience in the trade industry.
  • Passion for design or creative flair to assist customer with tailored solutions and ideas.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport to support our valued customers.
  • Motivated, self-driven, proactive and able to work independently and in a team.
  • Be confident with computers and learning new systems (training provided).
  • Proactive and able to think on your feet and problem solve.

Responsibilities

Fletcher Building – Wellington, North Island

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you’ll play an integral role within our showroom where you will offer product support and design solutions for our stunning front-of-wall bathroom products. As well as serving customers in the showroom you will also help our loyal trade customer on the trade counter.

  • Ensure that our customers, who are made up of trades, businesses and homeowners, are greeted with a cheerful smile and exceptional service
  • Maximizing bathroom sales as well as promoting exclusive product offers
  • keeping up to date with the latest plumbing/bathroom trends and inspiring our customers with a winning in-store experience.
  • Communicating with supplies on customers specifications
  • The nature of working in a team means you may also be needed to assist customers at our Trade Counter as well as other departments within the branch.

This is a Permanent full-time role operating our of our Lower Hutt Branch offering 40 hours a week. Working Monday- Friday + Rostered Saturdays
