Hynds is seeking a hands-on team member to be the face of the branch, handling front-counter inquiries, quotes and orders while supporting yard operations and stock control. You’ll assist customers with loading and unloading trucks and keep administration tidy and accurate.
We require front-counter experience, a full NZ driver's licence, and a willingness to learn product knowledge. Forklift licence is preferred but not mandatory, with health insurance and employee discounts on offer.
Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.
Some people can talk pipe fittings and stock levels one minute, then jump on a forklift the next - and make it all look easy. If that's you, keep reading.
As the face of Hynds, you'll be the person our customers across the civil, water, wastewater and drainage industries rely on. One minute you're sorting a quote at the counter, the next you're out in the yard picking an order or loading a truck. It's hands-on, it's varied, and it's the role that keeps our busy branch ticking.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you'll bring the product know-how, the problem-solving, and the friendly service that keeps customers coming back.
Since 1973, Hynds has been New Zealand's leading supplier for water and water-based waste management across civil and rural infrastructure. We're family-owned and proud of it - our reputation is built on genuine customer service and a culture where people matter, we do what's right, and we back our customers to succeed.
At Hynds, we believe diverse teams make better decisions and stronger businesses. We're committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone is welcomed, supported, and encouraged to thrive. If you meet most of the criteria and are excited about this opportunity, we encourage you to apply - even if you don't tick every box.
