Job summary

PlaceMakers Whangarei is seeking an Operations Team Member to support our Yard & Drive Thru. You’ll greet customers, offer product advice, operate a forklift, and handle loading/unloading while keeping stock accurate.

This full-time, 40 hours per week role requires a safety mindset, reliability, and teamwork. Eligibility to work in NZ, a current NZ Class 1 licence, and forklift experience are preferred. Training provided and staff benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar customer-facing, warehouse or trade retail role.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Confident using technology and navigating multiple systems.
• Physically fit with ability to lift heavy items and operate a forklift.
• Full NZ Class 1 Drivers' Licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers face to face, recommending suitable products.
• Pick, assemble, and process orders, transactions and returns.
• Support inwards goods by receipting product deliveries.
• Load/unload customer vehicles, delivery vans and supplier trucks.
• Monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts and stock replenishment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety through store housekeeping.
• Operate a Forklift.
