Job summary

Carters is seeking a Customer Services Representative at our St Lukes branch in Auckland to deliver exceptional service to trade and retail customers. You will work across the branch, including loading trucks, managing stock and keeping the yard safe and organized.

Ideal candidates will hold a NZ Driver's Licence, OSH forklift licence, be physically fit, and proficient with computer systems. Join a supportive team with a great hourly rate and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Valid FULL New Zealand Driver's Licence.
• Current Forklift Licence (OSH certified).
• Proven ability to work safely and adapt to a busy environment.
• Physically fit for lifting and manual handling.
• Proficient with computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to trade and retail customers.
• Fill orders accurately and load correct items onto trucks.
• Unload supplier deliveries and check goods against docs.
• Assist in cycle counts and stocktakes.
• Keep yard, panels and bulk store tidy and safe.
• Load/unload materials with forklift or manual handling.
• Deliver goods to customers in a timely, compliant manner.

Our CARTERS St Lukes branch is looking for a Customer Services Representative to join our team and deliver great service to our trade and retail customers every day.

About the Role

As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a key role in achieving branch sales targets and building lasting customer loyalty through quality service. This role will also allow you to work across all areas of branch operations, from serving customers on the floor to loading trucks, managing stock, and keeping the yard running safely and efficiently.

• Providing excellent customer service and building strong customer relationships
• Filling customer orders accurately and efficiently, and loading correct orders onto trucks
• Ensuring loads comply with legal and safety requirements before deliveries go out
• Unloading supplier deliveries and checking goods against documentation
• Participating in cycle counts and stocktakes
• Keeping the panels / bulk store, and yard clean, tidy, and well presented
• Load and unload building materials either with a forklift or manual handling
• Carryout customer deliveries efficiently and on time and in accordance with health and safety regulations

About You

You will be the perfect fit for this role if you are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and have the following skills and qualities:

• Valid FULL New Zealand Driver's Licence
• Current Forklift Licence (OSH certified, F Endorsed) and demonstrated forklift competency
• A real people person with a natural talent for building trust and rapport with our customers
• Proven awareness of health and safety legislation in this industry
• Physically fit for the occasional heavy lifting and manual handling
• Proficiency in the use of computer systems
• Building industry knowledge is advantageous
