Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive in Auckland, NZ, is seeking a Customer Service and Logistics Manager to lead the integration of logistics networks and demand planning, ensuring seamless delivery and optimized inventory. Reporting to the Senior Director, CS&L SOPAC, you will drive end-to-end supply chain improvements and cost efficiencies while improving customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, logistics management, or end-to-end supply chain operations.
  • Proven track record in KPI management and supplier relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven hands-on experience utilizing ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced planning tools.
  • Demonstrates strong working knowledge and ability to integrate AI-driven workflows to automate reporting, optimise sourcing strategies, and improve overall supply chain efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Lead NZ end-to-end warehouse, shipping, receiving and distribution operations.
  • Monitor KPI performance and drive cost-saving improvements.
  • Coordinate with local freight forwarders, carriers and 3PL providers.
  • Analyse logistics data to optimise efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop strategies to optimise warehouse storage and handling with Sales and Logistics teams.
  • Oversee inventory targets, safety stock, and supply plans to prevent stockouts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align demand signals with operations.

As the Customer Service and Logistics Manager (NZ), you will lead the strategic integration of our logistics network and demand planning processes to ensure seamless product delivery and optimised inventory management. Reporting directly to the Snr. Director, CS&L SOPAC, you will embed within the team to champion critical commercial and operational categories. This highly visible role offers the unique opportunity to pioneer end-to-end supply chain efficiencies, directly impacting customer satisfaction and bottom-line growth. Your leadership will foster a culture of continuous improvement, aiming to reduce costs while elevating customer service standards.

Responsibilities
Logistics and Operations
  • Manage NZ E2E daily warehouse, shipping, receiving, and distribution operations
  • Ensure management of key performance indicators (KPI’s) and identify areas of improvement
  • Coordinate and manage relationship with local freight forwarders, carriers, and 3PL providers
  • Analyse logistics data to ensure efficiency and implement cost-saving initiatives
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise warehouse storage and handling activities, and reduce costs in partnership with the Sales Department, Sales Operations and the relevant Logistics Purchasing Teams.
Demand Planning
  • Ensure adherence to Demand Planning Key Performance Indicators (e.g.forecast accuracy, etc).
  • Responsible for analysing sales demand and for coordinating inputs with Supply&Demand Team
  • Highlight and communicate issues during promotional event execution and also new products.
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner closely with CD, Marketing, Finance, and external 3PL partners to align market demand signals with operational capacity.
Support Inventory Strategy
  • Engage closely with Supply&Demand team & oversee inventory targets, safety stock levels, and supply plans to mitigate stockouts and reduce excess inventory carrying costs.
Funding the Growth (FTG)
  • Contribute and participate in local programs to drive cost savings .
Required Qualifications and Knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, logistics management, or end-to-end supply chain operations.
  • Proven track record in KPI management and supplier relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven hands-on experience utilizing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced planning tools.
  • Demonstrates strong working knowledge and ability to integrate AI-driven workflows to automate reporting, optimise sourcing strategies, and improve overall supply chain efficiency
