Air New Zealand is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Crew Planner - Rostering to join our Workforce Management team at Auckland Airport Campus on a 12-month parental leave cover.

In this fast-paced role, you will develop and manage crew rosters that meet operational needs while ensuring regulatory and contractual obligations. You'll work with stakeholders across Airline Operations, Safety, Networks and Digital to deliver safe, reliable rosters.

At Air New Zealand, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for a motivated and detail-orientedCrew Planner - Rosteringto join our Workforce Management team based at our Auckland Airport Campus.This is a 12-month parental leave cover.

In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring our crew are rostered effectively to support a safe, reliable, and efficient operation. Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll balance operational requirements, contractual obligations, regulatory compliance, and commercial considerations to deliver optimal crew rosters.

You'll collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders across the business, including Airline Operations, Operational Integrity & Safety, Networks, and Digital. No two days are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the delivery of our operation every day.

The role you will play

As a Crew Planner - Rostering, you will be responsible for developing and managing crew rosters that support our operational requirements while ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Optimising crew rosters to meet operational, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring and analysing crew plans to optimise performance and manage operational risk.

This role requires strong analytical thinking, sound judgement, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic operational environment.

Preferred
  • Previous experience in workforce planning, rostering, scheduling, or a related operational environment. Experience working with rostering or scheduling systems.
  • Knowledge of workforce management principles and practices.
