Job summary

Westpac New Zealand Ltd is seeking an Analytics professional to join our Credit Decision Analytics team in New Zealand. You will work with large data sets, prototype analytical techniques, and develop decision strategies to support lending outcomes and customer experience.

The role requires hands-on data manipulation, strong SAS, and proficiency in SQL or R/Python, with reporting using Power BI or Tableau. Collaborating with Risk Management and product squads, you will translate insights for

Qualifications

2+ years of analytics or similar experience.
Strong SAS skills are essential.
SQL or experience with other languages such as R or Python.
Experience in data manipulation and quantitative analysis.
Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau for reporting.
Strong relationship-building and ability to communicate insights to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Work with large, complex data sets.
Collaborate across Risk Management and product squads to deliver customer-centric lending solutions.
Prototype new analytical techniques, data sources and decision strategies.
Develop, implement and monitor decision strategy changes within Westpac’s decisioning platform.
Present actionable insights to stakeholders.
Undertake ad-hoc data analysis to support strategy decisions.
