Job summary

OJI Fibre Solutions in Mangere Bridge, Auckland, is seeking a Credit Control and Finance Administrator to manage debt collection, credit limits and payroll support within our finance team. You will build strong relationships with sales, customers, banks and solicitors, chase payments, review credit and master data in SAP, and contribute to month-end tasks and general finance duties.

• Credit control experience (min 5 years) and accounting background.
• Manufacturing sector experience is advantageous.
• SAP experience and advanced Excel skills are beneficial.
• Tertiary qualification in business studies or related discipline is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including sales teams, customers, banks, collection agencies and solicitors.
• Proactively establish payment expectations and follow up on overdue payments.
• Collection of customer debts in a timely manner and within company standards.
• Identify reasons for non-payment and coordinate with Account Managers on payment plans and potential legal actions.
• Assist onboarding of new customers, set initial credit limits and review credit limits with Sales/Account Managers.
• Ensure credit-related master data in SAP is accurate and up-to-date.
• Support month-end tasks and other finance duties; provide payroll cover two days per week.
• Provide leave cover for site Finance and Office Administrators and travel to other sites if required.
• Support Health & Safety initiatives.

We have an exciting opportunity within the Oji Fibre Solutions Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller the Credit Control and Finance Administrator role is responsible for:

• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the sales team, existing and potential customers, financial institutions, collection agencies and solicitors.
• Proactively establish payment expectations with customers and resolve customer enquiries & follow up with customers on overdue payments, elevate to Account Managers as required.
• Collection of customer debts in timely manner and within acceptable company standards and processes.
• Identify and communicate reasons for non-payment to stakeholders who can help resolve payment issues, including the development and monitoring of payment plans with customers and Account Managers, coordinate legal proceedings where required.
• Work with Account Managers to onboard new customers, completing the new customer account form and setting of initial credit limits.
• Review customer credit limits and prepare credit review request forms to change credit limits, working closely with Sales/Account Managers and Financial Controller.
• Ensure OjiFS property is always protected by creating new PPSRs, managing registrations and renewing PPSRs when required.
• Perform online Companies Register checks on Companies and Shareholders.
• Ensure the integrity of all Credit related master data in SAP and relevant information systems.
• Review bank statement on daily basis and send to business units.
• Undertake other administrative duties associated with the credit control function.
• Month End and Other Finance Tasks.
• This role supports payroll two days a week to ensure deadlines are met, cover payroll for annual leave/sick leave.
• Provide leave cover for site Finance and Office Administrators and visiting/travel to other sites as required.
• Health & Safety - actively support and contribute to the culture of safety first.

To be successful in this role you will have and demonstrate in your application the following personal attributes and knowledge:

• Credit Control (at least 5 years) & Accounting experience.
• Experience within manufacturing sector advantage.
• SAP experience would be an advantage.
• Advanced Excel would be an advantage.
• Tertiary qualification in business studies or related discipline an advantage.
