Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking a motivated baker to join a small team in a busy commercial kitchen. You will contribute to creative baking, focusing on macarons, fillings and delicate confectionery, with full training provided.

The role requires prior baking experience, a keen eye for detail, and a friendly, can-do attitude. This fixed-term contract runs from asap until Christmas, typically Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday shifts, around 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience in baking and pastry production.
• Strong attention to detail and quality presentation.
• Reliable with a friendly, can-do attitude.
• Passion for creative food and flavors.

Responsibilities

• Make caramels, ganache and buttercream fillings.
• Make, pipe and fill macarons with full training provided.
• Prepare a range of biscuits, panforte and confectionery.
• Adhere to food safety standards.
• Assist with general kitchen duties as required.
