Job summary

Metlifecare is seeking an experienced Activities Coordinator for our Pohutukawa Landing facility in Beachlands, East Auckland. This permanent, part-time role (22 hours/week) covers Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday, 10am–4pm, to support residents with engaging leisure activities.

You will plan and implement programs, liaise with families and staff, and ensure a safe, therapeutic environment. Required: Careerforce Level 4 or equivalent; Full Driver’s License.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Activities Coordinator in aged care.
• Excellent interpersonal and planning skills.
• Ability to liaise with families and staff to coordinate leisure activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement an innovative activities program.
• Liaise with families and staff for participation in activities.
• Assist residents to participate in organized activities.
• Establish and maintain a therapeutic environment.
• Ensure the health and safety of residents.
