Job summary

Metlifecare is seeking 2 experienced Activities Coordinators to support our residents at our brand-new Care Home at Fairway Gardens in Golflands, East Auckland.

Two permanent positions are available, working either full time or part time, with one weekend shift and weekend allowance. You will plan and implement an innovative activities program, liaise with families and staff, and assist residents to participate in organized activities.

Qualifications

• Careerforce Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
• Current Full Driver's Licence and First Aid Certificate preferred.
• Previous experience in aged care and a desire to learn and develop your skill set.

Responsibilities

We are seeking 2 experienced Activities Coordinators to support our residents with their planned activities at our stunning brand-new Care Home at Fairway Gardens in Golflands, East Auckland.

We have 2 permanent positions working either full time or part time - talk to us and let us know what you are looking for. Each position will include one weekend shift, which pays the weekend allowance.

You will assist our residents to enjoy meaningful leisure activities with the following:

• Planning and implementing an innovative activities program
• Liaising with families and staff to participate in leisure activities
• Assisting our residents to participate in organized activities

About you

You are enthusiastic, creative, outgoing and can think outside the box. You will have experience as an Activities Coordinator in Aged Care, ensuring our residents are enjoying a therapeutic environment and experiencing the activities on offer.

You must have the following:

• Careerforce or equivalent qualification – Level 4 or D/T
• Current Full Drivers License& Current First Aid Certificate preferred
• Previous experience in aged care and a desire to learn and develop your skill set
