Job summary

Habit Health in Queenstown seeks an empathetic and experienced Counsellor to support employees through confidential EAP services. The role involves on-site visits, in-person/telehealth counselling, and delivering workplace interventions within a supportive team culture.

This position offers either permanent part-time or full-time hours with clear career progression and a dedicated budget for professional development. Habits Health promotes diversity and well-being across teams.

Qualifications

• Tertiary level 7 Counselling or related qualification.
• Minimum of five years of post-study experience in general counselling.
• Current APC with NZAC, DAPAANZ, SWRB or NZCCA.
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapy models such as SFT, CBT or FACT is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and attend on-sites for psychological first aid.
• Experience in trauma intervention or psychological first-aid.

The Ideal Candidate

• A strong sense of others - we’re looking for sensitivity and empathy as traits
