Job summary

Habit Health in Queenstown is seeking a compassionate Counsellor to support employees in health and well-being across onsite, video, and telehealth formats. The role involves direct counselling, on-site visits after incidents, and delivering training to staff.

The ideal candidate holds a Level 7 counselling qualification with registration and has several years of post-study experience; APC/NZAC or equivalent registrations are essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary counselling qualification and registration required.
• Minimum five years post-study experience in general counselling.

Main responsibilities:

The ideal candidate:

• A strong sense of others we’re looking for sensitivity and empathy as traits
• Current APC with NZAC, DAPAANZ, SWRB or NZCCA
• Tertiary level 7 Counselling or related qualificationanda minimum of five years of post-study experience in general counselling is required.
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapy models e.g. SFT, CBT, FACT is desirable
• Can work independently and attend on-sites for psychological first aid
• Experience in trauma intervention, psychological first-aid
