Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in Auckland is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to lead the delivery of facilities management services across a significant client portfolio. This senior role owns contract outcomes, drives operational excellence and leads a team to deliver outstanding service and value.

You will manage large contracts, coordinate internal teams and subcontractors, and report on financial and performance metrics while ensuring HSSE compliance and strong client engagement.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in facilities management.
  • Experience managing large-scale contracts and service delivery teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with budgeting and profitability mindset.
  • Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and deliver outstanding outcomes.
  • Leadership experience developing high-performing teams.
  • Knowledge of HSSE compliance and risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of all contractual obligations, KPIs and service outcomes.
  • Develop and implement service delivery strategies aligned to client requirements.
  • Manage delivery of trade services through internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Drive continuous improvement and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and service excellence.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements.
  • Manage contract variations, pricing negotiations and service enhancements.
  • Lead financial performance including revenue growth, budgeting, profitability and EBIT targets.
  • Monitor and manage aged debt and WIP performance.
  • Champion safety and compliance across operations.
  • Coach and develop a high-performing facilities management team.
  • Ensure quality outcomes through contractor and supplier management.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contract Manager to lead the delivery of facilities management services across a significant client portfolio.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring exceptional service delivery, fostering strong client relationships and driving commercial performance. You'll take ownership of contract outcomes, operational excellence and team leadership while identifying opportunities to enhance client value and grow the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the successful delivery of all contractual obligations, KPIs and service outcomes

  • Champion safety, compliance and risk management across all operations
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing facilities management team
  • Ensure quality outcomes through effective contractor and supplier management
About You
  • Minimum 7 years' experience within facilities management
  • Strong technical background with trade, engineering or property qualifications
  • Proven experience managing large-scale facilities management contracts and service delivery teams
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, revenue and profitability
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted client relationships and deliver outstanding customer outcomes
  • Strong leadership skills with experience developing high-performing teams
  • Experience managing subcontractors and complex stakeholder environments
  • Knowledge of HSSE legislation and compliance requirements
  • Strong report writing, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience with Excel, JDEdwards or similar financial systems is highly regarded
