About the Role

Our client, a prominent developer in the construction industry, is seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee operations in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will be responsible for managing site activities, coordinating a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring adherence to project plans, budgets, and timelines. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives.

• Liaise with clients, engineers, architects, and suppliers to ensure smooth project operations.
• Manage site logistics, including material procurement, equipment management, and site access.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports for senior management.
• Resolve on-site issues and conflicts efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in managing construction projects, with at least 3 years in a site management capacity.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and project management principles.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project) and interpretation of technical drawings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices in construction.
• Ability to manage budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability.
• Experience working in the Eastern Cape region is an advantage.
• Must be adaptable to a hybrid work model, balancing site presence with administrative duties.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the region.
