Job summary

Stellar Recruitment in Wellington is seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Project Engineer to lead large-scale industrial, mechanical, piping and infrastructure projects across the Wellington region.

You will manage day-to-day site operations, coordinate crews of up to 20 tradespeople, drive planning and scheduling, and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery while liaising with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Background in industrial construction, mechanical installation, piping, fabrication, oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, power generation or heavy engineering.
• Proven experience leading construction or engineering teams on large projects.
• Strong understanding of industrial works, shutdowns, piping systems or mechanical installations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager / Project Engineer to lead large-scale industrial, mechanical, piping and infrastructure projects throughout the Wellington region. This is an opportunity to join a well-established New Zealand engineering and construction business delivering some of the region's most significant projects.

You’ll be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple workstreams, managing site teams of up to 20 tradespeople and subcontractors, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
