Job summary

Western Bay of Plenty District Council is seeking a capable leader to help drive a healthy team culture and lead through changes arising from Resource Management Reform. You will support our consent planners, manage workloads, and build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.

With tertiary planning qualifications and proven coaching and leadership skills, you will help deliver high-quality services and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• NZ residency or valid NZ work permit.
• Tertiary qualifications in planning or a related discipline.
• Proven coaching, mentoring and leadership experience.
• Strong customer service delivery and process improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a healthy team culture and lead through upcoming change with Resource Management Reform.
• Support consent planners with workloads, growth and development, and foster strong customer and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills and experience.
• Strong team building skills and experience.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Exceptional relationship management skills to deliver quality and efficient services for our customers.
