Job summary

ACCIONA in Auckland is seeking an experienced Compliance Specialist to lead governance, assurance and regulatory obligations on a major transport infrastructure project. You will work within a multi-stakeholder delivery model to safeguard contractual integrity and drive best-practice across the organisation.

The role is permanent, full-time and based in the Auckland region, with a market-related salary range aligned to NZD 120,000–NZD 140,000 per annum.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in compliance, governance or assurance within major infrastructure, PPP, or project finance environments.
• Strong understanding of complex contractual frameworks and multi-party delivery models.
• Exceptional stakeholder management with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

• Lead the development and implementation of compliance frameworks, governance processes, and assurance systems.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with contractual, regulatory and statutory obligations across all project phases.
• Oversee compliance across multiple contract interfaces, ensuring clear accountability and coordination.
• Manage audit and assurance activities, including reporting for senior leadership and governance forums.
• Identify, assess and mitigate compliance and contractual risks to protect project performance and reputation.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Compliance Manager to join a major infrastructure project environment. This senior role offers the opportunity to lead compliance, governance and assurance activities within a complex, multi-stakeholder delivery model, ensuring obligations are met across construction and operational phases.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you will play a critical role in safeguarding contractual integrity, maintaining strong governance frameworks and supporting long-term project performance.

You will work closely with technical, finance and stakeholder teams to ensure seamless coordination of compliance obligations, while providing independent oversight and driving best-practice across the organisation.

This permanent, fulltime role is based in the Auckland region with a market related salary range of NZD 120,000 to NZD 140,000 per annum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of compliance frameworks, governance processes, and assurance systems

• Identify, assess and mitigate compliance and contractual risks to protect project performance and reputation

Required Skills and Competencies

• Demonstrated experience of minimum 2 years in compliance, governance or assurance within major infrastructure, PPP, or project finance environments
• A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable
• Strong understanding of complex contractual frameworks and multi-party delivery models
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across technical and commercial teams
• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
