Job summary

Cultivate Recruitment in Wellington is partnering with a small, purpose-driven organisation to recruit for Assessor roles within a regulatory landscape. You will assess complaints, draft high-quality correspondence, and support fair, timely outcomes with analytical rigour and empathy.

Open to experienced regulators or health-sector investigators, or recent graduates from legal disciplines ready to step into regulatory space.

• Strong analytical and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload with sensitivity.

About the Roles | Mō ngā Tūranga

Every file tells a story. You'll assess and progress complaints, draft high-quality correspondence, and work toward fair, timely outcomes, bringing analytical rigour and empathy in equal measure. Your day-to-day will include:

• Managing a caseload of complaints from intake through to resolution
• Drafting clear, sound correspondence for consumers, providers, and stakeholders
• Engaging with a wide range of people, navigating sensitive situations with care
• Contributing to assessment meetings and supporting sound decision-making

To succeed, you'll bring proven experience in a regulatory, investigative, or health-related environment, along with strong critical analysis and written communication skills. You're someone who evaluates evidence clearly, manages a busy caseload consistently, and handles sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.

We also welcome recent graduates from legal or relevant disciplines who are ready to step into the regulatory space, build their expertise, and make their mark.

Your day-to-day success will depend on:
