Job summary

Care on Call in New Zealand is seeking compassionate Residential Support Workers to help people live independently and safely. You will provide person-centred support, assist with daily living tasks, meal prep, and household duties, while promoting dignity and independence.

Join a supportive team with induction, ongoing training and opportunities to gain NZQA-recognised qualifications. Full time/part-time/casual roles available, with 24/7 management and after-hours support.

Qualifications

• Provide person-centred support in line with individual service plans.
• Assist with personal care, daily living activities, meal preparation and household tasks.
• Support clients to participate in the community and achieve personal goals.
• Build positive relationships with clients, family/whānau and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and daily living support while promoting dignity, choice and independence.
• Assist with household tasks like cleaning, laundry, shopping and safe home environment.
• Deliver support in line with plans and goals, building relationships with clients and family/whānau.
• Monitor wellbeing and promptly report changes, risks, incidents or concerns.
• Work with colleagues and health professionals to ensure high-quality support.
• Follow policies, health and safety requirements and the Code of Rights.
