Job summary

Radius Care is a New Zealand owned health and aged care provider seeking a Healthcare Assistant on a fixed-term basis in Christchurch. You will support residents under a Registered Nurse, building relationships with residents and families while helping implement individual care plans.

Role is 30 hours per week on a rotating roster (weekends/public holidays). NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3 or 4) with 3 years experience preferred; strong communication and empathy required.

Qualifications

• New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3 (or equivalent) and 3 years of relevant experience; OR Level 4 (or equivalent).
• People skills and empathy for residents and families.
• Good written and verbal communication; flexibility to work rostered shifts.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking personal cares while promoting resident independence.
• Complete delegated tasks promptly.
• Respond to resident requests with relevant information.
• Maintain and update resident healthcare records.
• Assist with handover of residents at shift changes.
