Job summary

Bay Venues in Tauranga Moana is seeking a Venue Supervisor for Papamoa Community Centre to lead day-to-day operations, ensure a welcoming, safe, well-maintained venue, and drive uptake by customers and groups.

Hours are 27.5 per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts from 8:30am to 3:00pm. You will build relationships with community groups, coordinate bookings, and report on activity while collaborating with Tauranga City Council and Papamoa Library staff to keep the venue thriving.

Qualifications

• Experience in a venue, facility, community, hospitality or customer-facing environment.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Strong administration and organisational abilities.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and business systems.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation and presentation of Papamoa Community Centre.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and respond professionally to enquiries and feedback.
• Build strong relationships with local community groups, organisations and stakeholders.
• Coordinate bookings and support customers to get the most from the facility.
• Identify opportunities to increase venue utilisation and community participation.
• Work closely with Tauranga City Council, Papamoa Library staff and other partners to ensure the venue continues to thrive.
• Monitor venue performance and provide reporting on venue activity and utilisation.
• Support the delivery of a safe, accessible and welcoming environment for all users.
