Job summary

Healthvision in Wellington is seeking caring individuals to join our community care team. You will support people to live independently, assist with personal cares, meal prep, mobility, and medication support across a rotating schedule including early mornings and evenings.

We value resilience, empathy, and reliability. A driver's license and access to a car are required, with opportunities to gain Level 3/4 qualifications. Flexible hours and travel within the Wellington region are available.

Job Location: Wellington Employment Type: Permanent

We offer a range of employment opportunities including part-time and full-time positions, which will be discussed further during the recruitment process.

Days of work: As this is community-based work, rotating rosters would be involved including am, pm and weekend work. Your preferred hours of work can be discussed during the recruitment process.

We are looking for people who are comfortable with covering from early morning and mid-to-late afternoon evening shifts and weekends from 7am to 10pm. The duration of these hours may vary, ranging from shorter to longer periods, depending on the specific needs of the people we support. Your preferred hours of work can be discussed during the recruitment process.

About You | He momo

You are a calm but confident-natured individual who can demonstrate resilience and understand the challenges of service users, you have life experience or a passion to develop your current skills into a new industry.

The candidate would have (Candidate Pre-Requisites):

• Ideally, prior personal care experience is preferred,
• Familiarity with complex medical conditions, like spinal injuries, traumatic brain injury
• Access to a car and ability to drive independently (a full New Zealand Driver's License is a must)
• Ability to drive a mobility van (training available)
• Health and Wellbeing qualification is beneficial and those looking to enter the healthcare sector will also be considered (comprehensive training can be provided)
• Flexibility to travel anywhere in Wellington region
• Flexibility to work on a rotating roster
• Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must.
• Pay Band: $24.73 - $30.78 per hour (This is based on the Pay Equity Settlement 2017 – hourly pay rates based on equivalency of Healthcare Qualifications assessed under Pay Equity).
