Brackenridge in Canterbury is seeking full-time and part-time Community Support Workers to empower children, young people and adults with intellectual disabilities, autism and complex support needs to live life their way.

You will promote independence, support personal care, encourage community participation and help clients achieve individual goals within a supportive team environment. Training and career development are provided.

Qualifications

  • Current NZ driver’s license.
  • Willingness to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
  • Eligibility to work in New Zealand and a commitment to ongoing development.

Responsibilities

  • Promote independence, choice, self‑advocacy and confidence.
  • Support people with personal care and daily living activities.
  • Encourage participation in community and social activities.
  • Assist people to achieve individual goals and build relationships with whānau and communities.
