Job summary

The Salvation Army in Auckland seeks a Navigator to build relationships and engagement with people, supporting them to identify and respond to life challenges within our Community Ministries programme. You will enhance personal wellbeing through collaboration, social change, development and empowerment of people and families.

Our ideal candidate has a minimum level 5 social services qualification, at least two years in case-management, and a compassionate, inclusive approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum level 5 tertiary qualification in social services or similar.
• At least 2 years' experience in case-management with holistic wrap-around support.
• Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds facing hardship and trauma.
• Commitment to engage with people to promote personal responsibility and goal achievement.
• Understanding and respect for The Salvation Army's mission and ethos.

Responsibilities

• Provide advocacy and support to model confidence in managing important life issues.
