Job summary

The Salvation Army New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga & Samoa is seeking a Navigator to build relationships and engage with people, helping them identify and respond to life challenges within our Community Ministries programme. You will promote collaboration, social change, development and empowerment of individuals and families.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification (minimum Level 5) in social services or similar.
• At least 2 years in case-management with holistic wrap-around support.
• Able to relate to diverse backgrounds facing hardship and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Engage participants and support retention throughout the programme.
• Conduct assessments, create goal plans, reviews, and SAMIS recording.
• Support rangatahi into employment, education, and training pathways.
• Achieve employment and training outcomes; provide post-placement support.
• Build relationships with whānau, employers, training providers and partners.
• Complete reporting and contractual compliance tasks.
