Trust Horizon in Whakatane is seeking a friendly Retail Assistant to join our busy operation. You will deliver outstanding customer service, handle transactions, prepare displays, and help maintain a welcoming store environment.

The role is full-time with a guaranteed minimum of 32 hours per week. You must be reliable, speak clear English, and be prepared to work 7 days on rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Job Description:

Key Duties and Responsibilities - Retail Assistant

• Deliver outstanding customer service to all customers by listening and responding to customer queries in a confident and professional manner.
• Greet customers as they enter and leave the store, identify their needs and provide friendly, helpful service and product recommendations.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to support daily store operations and provide a positive customer experience.
• Scan and record prices of goods for sale
• Take payment for goods and services using point of sale machine
• Issue sales dockets, receipts and give accurate change
• Make sure there is enough change, wrapping and other materials needed at checkout.
• Count and record money received during the work day
• Operate a computer terminal to administer the store's financial transaction system
• Prepare store displays and ensure that products are accurately labelled
• Maintain the cleanliness, presentation and organisation of the shop floor, displays and storage areas.
• Perform any other tasks required by the manager

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, a positive and reliable attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Wages:
We will be paying $25-$27 per hour to the chosen candidate.
- Work will be full-time. Minimum 32 hours guaranteed.
