Job summary

Fulton Hogan Ltd in Auckland is seeking an Assistant Commercial Manager to support the Commercial Manager and broader team with tendering, contract review, procurement planning, and post‑award administration, helping lift consistency and strengthen project delivery.

The role offers exposure to civil infrastructure environments, with a team‑oriented culture focused on safety, quality and responsible commercial decision making.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification and/or 5+ years in quantity surveying, construction management, law, engineering or procurement.
• Experience with standard form contracts and subcontract agreements is desirable.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support contract reviews for tenders, bids and projects to identify risks and commercial implications.
• Provide clear commercial summaries and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Assist negotiations to improve risk allocation and reduce lengthy negotiation periods.
• Ensure contract requirements, notices and records are understood and followed.
• Support procurement planning and supplier management across projects.
• Contribute to stronger commercial reporting and project close‑out actions.
