Job summary

Stellar Recruitment is assisting a busy, well-established engineering workshop in Lower Hutt to find a skilled CNC Operator who can also program. This hands-on role runs modern CNC machinery, producing high-quality components for a fast-moving production environment.

You will operate CNC mills/routers safely, program using Fusion 360 or similar, perform quality checks and supporting production tasks while keeping the workspace clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Experience as a CNC Operator with programming ability.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Safety-focused with a hands-on, busy workshop mindset.

What You Bring

• Strong experience as a CNC Operator, with the ability to program confidently
• Solid understanding of machining, tooling, feeds/speeds, and production workflows
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Reliable, mechanically minded, and safety-focused
• Positive attitude and able to work well in a busy team environment
