Job summary

Comply365 is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and continually improve cloud infrastructure across AWS and hybrid environments. You will focus on secure, scalable, resilient platforms with automation, monitoring, and strong operational excellence.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Engineering, Security, and Support teams, and requires experience with IaC, Datadog, and Git-based workflows. Hybrid work with a Wellington office presence is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating AWS cloud infrastructure for production systems.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Good understanding of networking, compute, storage, security and cloud ops.
• Familiarity with IaC concepts and tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Experience with monitoring/observability (Datadog preferred).
• Experience with Git-based source control workflows and Jira.
• Familiarity with automation, scripting, and AI assisted tooling.
• Strong problem solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain and support AWS cloud infrastructure across environments.
• Build and support hybrid infrastructure across cloud and on‑premises.
• Maintain IaC using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Monitor platform availability and performance with observability tools.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and production issues across environments.
• Perform patching, upgrades, capacity planning and performance tuning.
• Use Git workflows for infrastructure management and collaboration.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security and Support teams on secure, available services.
• Develop and maintain runbooks and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, maintain, and support AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
• Build and support hybrid infrastructure solutions across cloud and on premises environments.
• Support and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Monitor platform availability, performance, and reliability using Datadog and other observability tools.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, cloud, and operational issues across production environments.
• Perform platform maintenance activities including patching, upgrades, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Utilize Git based workflows for infrastructure management and collaboration.
• Manage operational activities through Jira and established change management processes.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational runbooks.
• Leverage automation, scripting, and AI assisted tools to improve operational efficiency and service reliability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, and Support teams to maintain secure and highly available services.

What we're looking for

• Experience designing and operating AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
