Kauri Park School is a small, close-knit school surrounded by beautiful native bush on Auckland’s North Shore. We have wonderful tamariki, a supportive community and a team of teachers who care deeply about providing the best possible learning experiences for every child.
We are looking for an excellent permanent full-time teacher to join our team. The successful applicant could teach anywhere across Years 3–6, with the specific year level negotiated later.
We are looking for someone who is highly relational and exceptional at building strong, positive relationships with children. You will know your learners well, create a classroom where they feel safe, valued and challenged, and bring warmth, consistency and high expectations to your teaching.
Strong classroom practice matters to us. The successful applicant will be diligent with routines, thoughtful and organised in their planning, and confident in the delivery of effective literacy and mathematics programmes. You will have a strong understanding of explicit, purposeful teaching and be committed to helping every learner make progress.
We also value teachers who are reflective, collaborative and willing to keep growing professionally. A genuine commitment to te reo Māori, Te Ao Māori and culturally responsive practice is important to us.
Our vision is to grow good people who make their community better, and our values of Atawhai, Manawanui and Ū Kaha guide how we learn, work and contribute together.
If this sounds like the kind of school and team you would like to be part of, we would love to hear from you.
