Job summary

Kauri Park School in Auckland's North Shore invites a certificated teacher for a full-time fixed-term role across Years 1–8. The successful applicant will lead literacy and mathematics teaching, work closely with colleagues, and foster a classroom where every child feels known, supported, and challenged.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with NZ teaching certification.
• Experience delivering literacy and mathematics instruction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver literacy and mathematics instruction to Years 1–8.
• Plan, assess, and report on learner progress across the primary and intermediate range.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create inclusive, engaging learning experiences.
• Foster a classroom where students feel known, supported, and challenged to do their best.

Kauri Park School is a small, close-knit school surrounded by beautiful native bush on Auckland's North Shore. We have wonderful tamariki, a supportive community and a team of teachers who care deeply about providing the best possible learning experiences for every child.

Due to a teacher taking parental leave, we are looking for an excellent teacher to join our team in a fixed-term position.

The successful applicant will be a reflective and capable classroom teacher with strong knowledge of teaching literacy and mathematics. You will have high expectations for learners, work collaboratively with colleagues, and be committed to creating a classroom where children feel known, supported and challenged to do their best.
