Job summary

Greerton Village School - Te Kura o Maarawaewae in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, invites applications for a Classroom Teacher for Years 1–8. This full-time fixed-term role runs from 28 January 2027 to 16 December 2027, with a warm, relational approach to teaching and a commitment to inclusive education.

Qualifications

• Certificated teacher for primary/intermediate (Years 1–8).
• Experience with Structured Literacy and Maths No Problem! is an advantage.
• Commitment to culturally responsive practice and inclusive education.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate classroom teacher who genuinely loves working with children and brings a warm, relational approach to teaching. The ideal candidate will have strong behaviour management skills, a great sense of humour, and the ability to build positive, trusting connections with students, whānau, and colleagues.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about learning and committed to achieving the best learning outcomes for all children. Experience in Structured Literacy and Maths No Problem!an advantage, along with a strong commitment to culturally responsive practice and inclusive education. You will embrace and support learners with additional needs, ensuring every child feels valued, capable, and part of our kura community.
