Job summary

Visy Logistics in Hastings is hiring Class 5 drivers for full-time linehaul routes across the North and South Islands. You will operate B-Train configurations, conduct pre-trip inspections, and complete required documentation as part of a safety-focused team based out of Hastings.

We value reliable, safe drivers with knowledge of South Island routes and experience with curtain siders or container trailers, and a commitment to maintaining modern, well-kept fleet standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Clean Class 5 Licence and Dangerous Goods Licence.
• Proven experience operating Class 5 Semi-Trailer and B-Train Trucks.
• Experience with Curtain Siders, Truck & Trailer or Container Trailers is desirable.
• Sound knowledge of the regional areas and South Island routes.

Responsibilities

• Operate B Train combinations for timely and efficient freight pick-up and delivery to sites across both North and South Island.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is roadworthy and compliant.
• Accurately complete electronic reporting systems and other required documentation.
• Comply with company/site policies and state and national transport regulations, including fatigue management and load restraint laws.
• Adhere to load restraint guidelines to ensure freight is securely transported.

The Opportunity:

We have multiple Class 5 Linehaul Drivers position available within our Visy Logistics Freight Team. With Visy you're NOT just a driver. You are part of a team where your contributions are valued, and your career can grow.

Routes: DrivingHasting- Auckland and across both the North and South Islands.
Locations: Based out of Hastings.
Hours: min 45 hours, full-time permanent position. You may be required to be away for 1-2 nights at a time.

What you'll do:
