Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand in Hastings is seeking an experienced Class 5 Driver to join a busy transport operation. You will complete linehaul and long-haul runs, including refrigerated truck work and some night trips, leveraging solid B-Train and Road Ranger experience.

Location: Hastings, Hawke's Bay. Pay rate: $35 per hour, weekly pay. Start date is to be confirmed. Apply now if you take pride in safety and professional driving on established routes.

Qualifications

• Hold a full NZ Class 5 licence with proven professional heavy driving experience.
• Confident operating Road Ranger gearboxes across linehaul and long-haul routes.
• Experienced operating curtainsider B-Train units safely and professionally.

• Operate curtainsider B-Train units across scheduled linehaul and long-haul runs.
• Drive Road Ranger truck and trailer units safely across established routes.
• Complete refrigerated freight deliveries while maintaining safe driving standards.
• Carry out scheduled transport runs with some overnight travel when required.
• Follow established routes and schedules while keeping deliveries running smoothly.

Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Class 5 Driver to join a busy transport operation based in Hastings. You’ll be completing linehaul and long-haul runs, including refrigerated truck work and some night trips. This role will suit a confident driver with solid B-Train and Road Ranger experience.

What we’re looking for

• Maintain a clean driving record with a strong focus on road and workplace safety
• Reliable and professional with a practical approach to completing scheduled runs
• Able to successfully complete required pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
