Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking a reliable Class 4 Driver for a busy Dunedin concrete operation. You will drive Class 4 vehicles, perform plant tasks during training, and gain hands-on experience within a dynamic team.

Immediate start with weekly pay at $32 per hour. You will complete pre-start checks, ensure regulatory compliance, and develop skills to operate a concrete plant. A safety-focused mindset and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

Class 4 Driver with WTR

Are you an experienced Class 4 Driver looking for a role with plenty of variety? We’re looking for a reliable and safety-focused driver to join a busy concrete operation in Dunedin. Alongside driving duties, you’ll receive training to become a Concrete Plant Operator, making this a great opportunity to develop new skills and gain hands‑on industry experience.

Location: Dunedin Central, Dunedin

Start date: Immediate start

Pay rate: $32 per hour – paid weekly

What you'll be doing

This is a varied role combining Class 4 driving, plant operations and hands‑on work. Your duties will include:

• Driving Class 4 vehicles to transport materials and goods safely to specified destinations
• Completing daily pre-start and routine vehicle checks
• Ensuring COF, registration, Road User Charges and applicable permits are current
• Fuelling equipment and reporting vehicle condition to your supervisor
• Loading and unloading trucks, or assisting with loading and unloading
• Checking loads regularly and ensuring they are safely and securely fastened
• Operating vehicles safely and following all reasonable health and safety instructions
• Assisting with labouring and manual handling when required
• Engaging professionally with customers
• Completing required paperwork and administration
• Maintaining an accurate driver logbook in line with NZTA regulations and providing required weekly copies
• Training and working as a Concrete Plant Operator

What we're looking for

You’ll be a careful and capable driver who takes safety seriously and is comfortable working independently.
