Job summary

Fulton Hogan Ltd. in Lower Hutt is looking for a hands-on Driver/Operator to deliver asphalt and materials, operate trucks and plant, and help keep sites safe and efficient. You will work on a mix of day and night shifts and support ongoing site operations to meet programme requirements.

This role suits an experienced Class 4 driver with a practical approach, a focus on safety, and a desire to progress toward a Class 5 licence as you gain further site exposure.

Qualifications

• Class 4 driver licence is required.
• At least 3 years practical heavy vehicle driving experience.
• Solid knowledge of transport industry good practice and safe operating standards.
• W, T and R endorsements are preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate trucks, truck and trailer units, and other plant safely and professionally.
• Deliver asphalt and cart materials to and from work sites in line with programme requirements.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Complete vehicle and plant pre-start checks, basic maintenance, logbooks and required records.
• Operate equipment such as excavators and loaders as required, while following site safety, quality and environmental expectations.
