Job summary

Walter Findlay Ltd is a family-owned NZ bakery and distributor, seeking a part-time Class 4 Driver to deliver bread and other products to Masterton and South Wairarapa retailers.

Hours are Thursday, Friday and Sunday nights from 8:30pm, usually finishing after 10–11 hours. You will also pack products into orders, merchandise as needed, and record data on a handheld device.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Class 4 licence with extensive driving experience.
• Forklift licence is an advantage.
• Be reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
• Be able to work well under pressure.
• Be physically fit to carry out the physical aspects of the role.
• Accuracy and attention to detail with your documentation.
• Experience with handheld technology, such as E-road, to record data.
• Flexibility and willingness to provide cover for the team when needed.
• The ability to work independently and be a good team member.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to local supermarkets and retailers around Masterton and South Wairarapa on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.
• Pack product into customer orders prior to delivering and merchandise where required.
• Log data and complete documentation using handheld devices.
• Be reliable, punctual and able to work under pressure in a physically demanding role.
• Provide coverage for team members when needed and work independently as required.

Walter Findlay Ltd is a family-owned company who has been baking bread in Gisborne for over 100 years as well as making food coatings domestically in NZ and internationally for over 20 years. We bake and deliver bread along with a variety of other food products all the way to Masterton where we have a distribution depot for the Wairarapa.

We have a part-time opportunity available to work 30 hours per week. There may also be additional driving available on an ad hoc basis covering periods of planned and unplanned leave for the team.

You will be a Class 4 Driverdelivering products to the local supermarkets and other retailers around the Masterton (on Thursdays and Fridays) and South Wairarapa (on Sundays).

You will also be required to pack product into customer orders prior to delivering and merchandise where required.
