Job summary

Tradestaff Dunedin is seeking an experienced Class 4 Driver for work across transport, civil construction and roading projects in Dunedin and the wider Otago region.

You will operate Class 4 trucks, including tip trucks and concrete trucks, with Road Ranger gearboxes. The role may involve overnight travel and safe loading, with weekly pay and varied projects.

Qualifications

• Full, clean NZ Class 4 Driver Licence with a proven safe driving record.
• Confident and experienced operating Road Ranger manual gearboxes.
• Proven tip truck driving experience, including safe loading, transporting and tipping procedures.
• Previous experience supporting asphalt paving and road milling operations.
• Class 4 concrete truck driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Operating Class 4 trucks across transport, civil construction and roading projects.
• Driving tip trucks to transport and safely discharge materials at construction and roading sites.
• Operating heavy vehicles fitted with Road Ranger manual gearboxes.
• Supporting asphalt paving and road milling operations, including transporting materials and equipment.
• Driving Class 4 concrete trucks and completing concrete deliveries.
• Completing vehicle checks and following transport, site and road safety requirements.
• Working alongside site crews, dispatch teams and other operators, with overnight or away-from-home work when required.

Class 4 Driver

Tradestaff Dunedin is looking for an experienced Class 4 Driver to work across a variety of transport, civil construction and roading projects throughout Dunedin and the wider Otago region.

We're looking for a confident, reliable driver with proven experience operating heavy vehicles, including Road Ranger gearboxes, tip trucks and concrete trucks. If you have experience supporting paving and milling operations, take pride in safe driving and enjoy varied, hands‑on work, we want to hear from you.

Start date:

Immediate start for the right candidate

Pay rate:

Starting from $32 per hour, with higher rates depending on experience (paid weekly)

What You'll Be Doing

• Operating Class 4 trucks across transport, civil construction and roading projects
• Driving tip trucks to transport and safely discharge materials at construction and roading sites
• Operating heavy vehicles fitted with Road Ranger manual gearboxes
• Supporting asphalt paving and road milling operations, including transporting materials and equipment
• Driving Class 4 concrete trucks and completing concrete deliveries

What We're Looking For

• Reliable, safety-conscious and willing to work overnight or away from home when required; loader operating experience advantageous but not essential
