Job summary

Corde in Canterbury seeks experienced Class 4 drivers for busy summer operations across the Waimak. You will operate trucks with a road ranger gearbox, tip and spread materials safely, and may assist on the ground when needed. Self-loading via excavator or wheeled loader is a plus.

Applicants should have a Class 4 licence, strong awareness of hazards, and a proactive safety mindset. Competitive pay, permanent full-time hours, and opportunities for skill development are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class 4 driver licence.
• WTR endorsements are strongly desired.
• Proven experience operating road ranger Class 4 vehicles.
• Ability to identify hazards and work safely around plant and equipment.
• Physically fit and self-motivated; able to work unsupervised with a positive attitude.
• Health and safety conscious and able to use common sense.

Responsibilities

• Handle tipping and spreading of aggregates safely.

• Assist with on‑ground labour when required.

What's the job?

As our team gears up for the busy summer season, we’re on the hunt for experienced Class 4 drivers to join our crews across the Waimak.

About the role | Ko te kaupapa

The ideal candidate will be experienced in the safe operation of trucks with a road ranger gear box and have knowledge and a good understanding of material types and roading aggregates, along with being able to showcase safe tipping and spreading practices. It would be an advantage to have the ability to self-load via excavator and/or wheeled loader. As part of this role, the successful candidate will also be expected to help on the ground, labouring when required.

• Class 4 driver licence (essential)
• WTR endorsements (Strongly Desired)
• Proven experience operating road ranger Class 4 vehicles (Essential)
• Ability to identify hazards and work safely around plant and equipment

• Health and safety conscious and ability to use common sense.
