Job summary

EQUIP Recruitment – Christchurch is seeking reliable Class 2 Driver Operators to join an ongoing infrastructure project. You will operate Class 2 vehicles and assist with drainage and site tasks in outdoor conditions, working safely with a civil crew.

We offer consistent full-time hours, on-site work across Christchurch, and support from the EQUIP People team. Applicants must have NZ status to work in NZ and a current Class 2 licence.

Qualifications

• Current NZ Class 2 Driver Licence.
• Civil, drainage or infrastructure experience is advantageous.
• Physically fit and comfortable outdoors.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Able to follow instructions and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Support drainage and infrastructure work.
• Assist with loading, unloading and general site tasks.
• Work with the crew to keep jobs running smoothly.
• Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks.
• Follow site health and safety procedures.
• Communicate with supervisors and other crew members.
• Assist with physical labour as required.

EQUIP People are looking for reliable Class 2 Driver Operators to join an ongoing infrastructure project in Christchurch. This is a full-time role offering consistent hours and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced civil crew. The role is hands‑on, so you'll be driving as well as getting involved with general site and drainage work when required.

About the Role You'll be operating Class 2 vehicles to support day‑to‑day infrastructure and drainage work across Christchurch. This is a practical role suited to someone who is comfortable working outdoors, isn't afraid to get stuck in and takes pride in doing the job safely.
