Job summary

InterGroup is seeking a reliable Class 2 Driver / Operator for its Tauranga Infrastructure team. The role combines heavy vehicle operation with practical infrastructure work across Tauranga and the wider Bay of Plenty.

You will handle street sweeping, drainage and waste-related tasks, and gain exposure to hydro excavation and other specialist operations. The role is permanent, full-time, with opportunities to learn new equipment and develop towards a Class 4 licence, enhancing cross-skill

Qualifications

• A current Class 2 driver’s licence.
• Heavy vehicle or specialist equipment experience is an advantage.
• Practical, hands-on approach to work.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in dirty or unpleasant conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 2 specialist vehicles.
• Perform street sweeping, litter collection and infrastructure maintenance.
• Support drainage, sump and waste-related work.
• Operate specialist equipment and perform hands-on site tasks.
• Set up and pack down equipment.
• Complete vehicle and equipment checks.
• Work safely around roads, public areas, waste and potentially contaminated materials.
• Work as part of a crew and independently when required.
