Job summary

Tradestaff in Christchurch is seeking a Class 2 Labourer to work across a variety of sites. This hands-on role requires driving between sites and supporting the crew on site.

Starting immediately, the position offers ongoing work, PPE provided, and a supportive Tradestaff Christchurch team. You’ll need a NZ Class 2 licence and a willingness to perform physical labour.

Qualifications

• Current NZ Class 2 Driver Licence.
• Willingness to perform physical labouring on site.
• Previous construction or site labouring experience.
• Scaffolding or civil experience is an advantage.
• Physically fit and reliable for hands-on work.
• Reliable transport and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 2 vehicles safely between sites.
• Assist with hands-on labouring on site.
• Load, unload and move materials and equipment.
• Support trades and site crews with day-to-day tasks.
• Assist with site set-up and site clean-up.
• Work across a variety of construction and civil environments.
• Follow site procedures and maintain safety standards.

Class 2 Labourer

Tradestaff is looking for a Class 2 Labourer to work across a variety of Christchurch sites. This is a hands-on role for someone who’s happy behind the wheel but equally willing to jump out of the truck, get stuck in and support the crew on site.

Location: Various suburbs, Christchurch

Start date: Immediate

Pay rate: $27–$30 per hour + weekly pay

What You’ll Be Doing

• Drive Class 2 vehicles safely between sites
• Get out of the truck and assist with hands-on labouring
• Load, unload and move materials and equipment
• Support trades and site crews with day-to-day tasks
• Assist with site set-up, clean-up and general labouring
• Work across a variety of construction and civil environments
• Follow site procedures and maintain strong safety standards

What We’re Looking For

• Current NZ Class 2 Driver Licence
• Willingness to get out of the truck and complete physical labouring work
• Previous construction or site labouring experience
• Scaffolding or civil experience is an advantage
• Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on work
• Reliable transport
• Strong work ethic and commitment to health and safety
