Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island - Gilmours Manukau is seeking a dedicated Class 2 Driver for full-time work, Monday to Friday with a rotational Saturday shift. You will deliver ambient, chilled, and frozen products while upholding the Gilmours brand and customer service standards.

Role is autonomous and fast-paced; responsibilities include accurate invoicing, temperature monitoring, and vehicle care. Successful applicants will pass a background check and join a team committed to safety and excellence.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 2 license with 2–3 years delivery experience.
• Physically fit for manual handling and long days on the road.
• Strong English communication and customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ambient, chilled, and frozen products to customers on schedule.
• Complete daily scheduled calls using route management and carton counts.
• Use Microlise POD system for manifests, invoicing, and photo evidence.
• Maintain food safety by monitoring temperatures and vehicle cleanliness.
• Resolve customer inquiries on site and act as brand ambassador.

As a Driver, you are more than just a delivery person—you are a vitalbrand ambassador. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our customers receivetheir orders accurately and on time while building the strong relationshipsthat keep our business moving.

The Role

This is a fast-paced, autonomous role where no two days are the same.You will manage your own runs across the region, delivering a range of ambient,chilled, and frozen products to our diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

• OperationalExcellence: Complete daily scheduled calls using efficient routemanagement and precise carton counts.
• Tech-ForwardDelivery: Use the Microlise (POD) system for manifests, invoicing, andphoto evidence of deliveries.
• Cold ChainIntegrity: Maintain the highest food safety standards by monitoringand recording temperatures from start to finish.
• Asset Care:Take ownership of your vehicle and equipment (trolleys, jacks, temp guns),ensuring the truck is returned clean and fuelled.
• CustomerAmbassadorship: Resolve inquiries on-site and act as a professionalrepresentative of the Gilmours brand.

What We’re Looking For

• Licensed &Experienced: You must hold a valid Class 2 License with 2–3 years ofdelivery experience.
• Physically Fit:This is a hands-on role involving manual handling.
• Detail-Oriented:Ability to manage inventory (including our '1-in-1-out' keg returnprocess) and accurate invoicing.
• GreatCommunicator: A good command of English and a customer-servicemindset.
• Flexible: Ateam player who is happy to work autonomously across any day of the week.
