Job summary

Bidfood Tauranga is seeking a Class 1 Full or Class 2 driver for full-time work on a Tuesday to Saturday roster, with a Monday shift every second week. The role includes learning the business through buddying with qualified drivers, progressing from store/driver assistant to delivering with a Class 1 vehicle and potential progression to a Class 2 licence.

Ideal candidates demonstrate excellent driving, invoice/stock handling, reading and writing skills, reliability, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with a manual gearbox.
• Excellent driving skills and safe driving record.
• Understand invoices, credit notes and basic stock control.
• Able to work unsupervised and maintain pride in appearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver foodservice orders to cafés, restaurants and shops.
• Work 45 hours per week, Tue-Sat with Mon every second week.
• Must be eligible to work in NZ.

Bidfood Tauranga is looking for a Class 1 Full and/or Class 2 driver

For a Class 1 full driver this position would suit a person wanting to get into the transport industry, however the successful applicant must have experience with a manual gear box:

• For a class 1 driver the career path is to start out as a store person/driver's assistant.
• Then buddying with a qualified driver helping to complete foodservice deliveries into cafes, restaurants fish & chip shops etc. and learning the business.
• Then moving to driving & delivering from a class 1 truck and progressing to provided support to achieve a class 2 licence.

For a class 2 driver this position would suit a person who has previous driving experience and is looking to advance their career week,

Both positions are full time with Bidfood Tauranga, Tuesday to Saturday with a rostered Monday every second hours are 06:00am - 3.30pm
