Job summary

Fulton Hogan Limited in Christchurch is seeking a Civil Structures Foreperson to lead crews delivering civil structures works safely, on time and to high standards. This hands-on role covers site coordination, people, plant, subcontractors and programme delivery.

You bring at least 5 years in civil construction, proven on-site leadership, a full clean Class 1 licence with WTR endorsements, and strong planning and safety knowledge to drive productivity and quality on site.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in civil construction or a similar environment.
• Proven experience leading crews on site.
• Full clean Class 1 licence and WTR endorsements.
• Strong practical experience in retaining structures, formwork, temporary works, reinforced concrete, timber, and broader civil construction activities.
• Clear leadership, communication and planning skills with a safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day‑to‑day site operations for civil structures works, ensuring jobs are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.
• Plan and organise labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors to support efficient project delivery.
• Drive productivity across the crew while maintaining high workmanship and quality outcomes.
• Make sure all health and safety policies, procedures, and site expectations are understood and followed.
• Build a safe, switched‑on site culture by guiding team members on construction safety requirements and emergency procedures.
