Job summary

Enterprise Recruitment is seeking a Civil Machine Operator for a long‑term Ohoka project near Christchurch. This role is operations‑heavy, focusing on hands‑on plant work with a busy site team.

You will operate a 13‑tonne loader, single and twin drum rollers, and excavators up to 20 tonnes. Immediate start for reliable operators with the right tickets.

Stable hours with regular overtime and a pathway to ongoing work if performance is strong.

Qualifications

• Current WTR endorsement and Site Safe are essential.
• Proven experience operating civil plant.
• Class 1 licence and reliable transport to Ohoka.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and police check.

Responsibilities

• Operate civil plant including 13‑tonne loader, rollers, and excavators up to 20 tonnes.
• Maintain safe, efficient site operations and support a long‑term subdivision project.
• Adhere to site rules and contribute to a well‑run, quality controlled team.

Civil Machine Operator

Located in Ohoka, Canterbury | Long-Term Project | $28~$35 (Experience Dependant)

About the role

A major new subdivision is kicking off in Ohoka, with a second stage expected to follow directly across the road. If both stages run as planned, there's potential for along pipeline of continuous work. That's a rare thing in civil, and we're after operators who want to settle into a long run rather than chase the next short job.

This is an operating role first and foremost, so if you've got seat time and the tickets to back it up, we want to hear from you.

The gear

• 13-tonne loader
• Single and twin drum rollers
• Excavators up to 20-tonne

You don't need to have run all of it, but the more boxes you tick, the better the rate.

What you'll need

• Current WTR endorsement (essential)
• Site Safe (essential)
• Proven experience operating civil plant
• Previous subdivision experience is a big advantage
• Class 1 licence and reliable transport to Ohoka
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and police check
